Members of this professional organization are committed to continually improving the quality and availability of digital geospatial data necessary for effective use of GIS.

Since 1993, IMAGIN has grown to include a wide variety of individuals and organizations representing representing a host of Michigan communities. As Michigan's designated contact for the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC), IMAGIN has a direct link to the federal government in helping the FGDC to develop GIS standards and guidelines.
